unknown swollan eye

so i recently discover that the tissue around my chickens eye is swollen. her eye is not swollen shut and there is no puss yet but it is extremely watery and she shuts it often. can anyone give me suggestions of what it might be and a cure? thank you!

By your description, it could be alot of things. She may have gotten something in her eye that really irritated it. I would flush it out and then apply neosporin, without pain meds, to it, twice daily. I hope this helps.
