Unofficial “Poll”

Wow, you are busy! Do you sleep? ;)

Do you care for al those animals yourself?
Nah, sleep is for the weak ;) Just kidding! Yes I do get a fairly good amount of sleep. Less sleep on Saturdays Sundays Mondays and Tuesdays, rest of the week are usually healthier schedule.

And yes, I used to have help, but their health went downhill and since about July I've been doing it alone. Just my part of owning these pets, if one day I just can't do it anymore, I will probably rehome some. But I do plan to keep them their entire lives.

I work 3 jobs, 2 part time. One job is 11 hours a day and the other two are 4-5 hours a day.

The only "kids" I have are the other animals (Dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, horses, + of course poultry) but not human kids.

I used to contribute scores of comments daily, but recently I've had to get another job to help pay for medical and veterinary bills. So my activity here has really dropped to maybe 5 comments a week.
Only 5? Your doing pretty good then. ;)

Work 12hr. shift work 2 days on 2days off, work every other weekend.
Take care of approximately 300 birds. 1 Jack Russell terrier. No wife, no kids. Have GF that doesn't live with me but takes up a lot of my off time! :lau

I am retired with no pay, so to speak, since I’m not quite old enough to actually “retire.” Whatever you want to call it, I quit working to keep my 3rd grandson who is almost 2 1/2 years old now. It was at that time I decided to become a chicken keeper and I am hooked.

Both my boys are grown and my husband works and funds my habit. :lau My little side kick enjoys helping me with the chickens, but doesn’t like our current cockerel. BTW, I don’t either. Whenever he sees him he points at him and says, “Bite bite!” He is never allowed down to run around unless the cockerel is locked up.

Also, a good point made by @micstrachan, I access the site 100% on my phone. I see things others have done in their posts and wish I could do it too, but realize many things can only be accomplished on a computer. Bummer. :th Anyway, I love my chickens and I love this site.

300 birds! Wow! I wonder what it would be like with that sort of work schedule. Sounds kinda cool!
