Unpipped eggs

A dozen eggs went into the incubator and 9 chicks came out. I’ve moved the nine chicks to the brooder this afternoon (yesterday was day 21 and they hatched yesterday and this morning) I opened the incubator very briefly to remove the chicks and put the lid back on, brought humidity back up pretty fast. No pips on the last three whatsoever. How long do I wait and how long before they might burst if they are bad? Should I try to candle them for movement? If so, when?

I wait until Day 23. I just had one hatch at the end of Day 22 so came close to 23 days! Usually mine (silkies) start on 19.

Then, I'd candle it just in case, but by that point I'm pretty sure it died.

Congrats on the 9!! That's a decent hatch rate!!

I am pleased since it’s my first time and I used a $32 incubator from Amazon
