Unsure about dosage HELP

Can anyone give me a hand I need the dosage of safeguard on 3 to 3.5 lb birds.

The SafeGuard dose is 0.23ml per pound, given orally, once a day for five days for treatment of most worms, excluding tapeworms.

With the weight, you describe give around 0.7ml to 0.8ml.

Why excluding tapeworms?

Safeguard ( fenbendazole) has limited efficacy against tapeworms. If one is to treat for tapeworms, they should use a product containing praziquantel. Equimax and Zimerectin are two to name.
