Unsure if my coturnix quail will hatch

Yes they absolutely do need to be calibrated.

Can you wait until it gets dark in about an hour and then take a cell phone flashlight and shine it into the air cell.

Give me a few minutes to find a video or pictures of what you should see at this stage of the game.

I want you to pay attention to the size of the air cell and see if it is getting larger or drawing down towards the pointy end of the egg.
And also I want you to pay close attention for any type of shadowy movement in the air cell.

Sorry for taking forever to get the candled egg image for you!
Most of my other eggs were pitch black when I candled them, so I got one of the eggs I could actually light up. The embryo is kinda wiggly on the one I candled, so I'm not sure if it's dead or not. I can't show the video because I don't how 😔 but I don't think it was moving much.

The chick that first pipped just broke through its membrane! There are also 2 others that made their first pip, but they aren't moving right now.

My second one just hatched but it has some blue stuff on its bum that I didn't see on the first one. Should I be worried about that?

Oh and another question, is this a good set up, or should I move some things around?
