Unsure of 4 month old peafowl gender

My Peachick is now four months and I am still unsure of his/her for sure gender. Everyone on here originally thought my chick was a cameo male and though I believe the color may be spot on but feel free to put in your input on that as well I am not sure about the gender. I have since my original posting gotten a female black shoulder and Peabody the chick I am asking about does seem to be different in color as he has all different shades of tans where my female Rosie has more whites in color they do seem to resemble so closely that I can't tell if there is a difference in gender. Peabodys barring still seems more prominent and goes further up the neck than Rosie's also some of that darkest barring higher up the neck is black at first glance but green when the sunlight hits it just right. All help on gender and color identification would be oh so appreciated. Hoping I have a black shoulder pair.

The pea in your pics is a black shoulder variety hen, barring does not count when concerning gender in BS peas. Nice healthy bird by the way,

Thank you Mr. Barker for the information and the compliment it is appreciated. I am disappointed that I do not have a pair but could not ask for a better bird than Peabody, or I guess I should say Mrs. Peabody now. Had he been male what changes would I have seen/be looking for in a male black shoulder by this age. Sorry I am new to the peafowl world and am hoping to learn each and every day. Thank you.

Not a problem thats what we are here for. Here are 3 pics of a BS rooster we have, its probably not the best example due to it being a spalding but, it will give you a better idea until someone else posts a better pic of an IBBS rooster. Note the close up of the shoulder, the black arrowhead looking feathers are one of the common denominators when determining gender in BS birds, also the blue/green will grow and encompass the neck on a young rooster as well where as a young hen will not. A young BS rooster will have very distinct edges on the feathers vs a hen that will have distorted edging. These are but a few indicators of a BS rooster and the most common ones. I hope this helps,

Looks a little dark for a hen could still be cameo cock. Give it 2-3 weeks if it is darker then it is a cock if lighter then a hen.
