Untamed feathers, is it normal? Pic included!

Hi All! I have a 3 1/2 month old Khaki Campbell drake 'Hendrix'.. over the past few weeks his feathers have just been sticking out everywhere! He looks like he is at an awkward feather stage.. Is this normal? This is my first duck!

He wont have molted into his final adult colours yet. Until that happens he will look patchy and bare at times- and ruffled when the new ones are growing in. Wait until he is fully grown and the feathers should be a lovely sleek covering by then. He is a lovely looking fellow!

Glad you posted, mine are doing the same thing and was worried about them too. My 2 girls just hit three months old (Khakis).

Mine looks the same. The hen looks really pretty but the drake looks terrible but he seems energetic and healthy. i think that is just the way it is until they get their final adult colors.
