Thanks! He loves millet.You have to gain his trust and finger tame him before you let him out. Otherwise, you'll never get him back in. Hand taming takes patience and patience. Keep letting him see that your mean no harm. Move a bit closer each day. Talk softly to him while you slowly clean his cage. Once he's comfortable, finger train him. If you can find that one food he adores, it becomes much easier. I had a canary who went wild for lettuce, and a parakeet who loved millet. Put the food between your thumb and palm, so he has to sit on your finger to get it.
