Unusual Aggressive Behavior In My Hen

I was petting my Buff Orpington hen and then my Rhode Island Red Hen (about 6 years old)
ran up and started attacking her! It almost looked like a rooster trying to mate but much more aggressive and she is a female. She also does it to my Silver laced Wyandotte.
They are both about a year and a half. But its not pecking order, I have two other hens a Brown Leghorn (Three years old) and a Silkie/Black star mix (Year and a half) and she does not do it to them. Any help will be appreciated.

One of my hens would do the same thing to the others to establish dominance. If the regular pecking on the head doesn't work on a lower ranking hen, the higher ranking hen will climb on top of/attack the lower hen to get her point across-you submit to me. Usually hens only do this every now and then and is nothing to worry about.

I have a hen, named Scruffy, who'll take a stab at my rooster once in a while. Usually this happens when he does his funny mating dance to her, and she wails on him, just kicking at him with her back feet. So yeah, it's a dominance thing. Eventually they'll get over it.

But if its a dominance thing[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] [/FONT]why doesn't she do it to my other birds?

maybe she doesn't feel a need to remind the other hens that she is in charge. It especially fits with attacking the girl that you were paying attention too.

So maybe a jealousy and dominance thing? Thanks for your help! I'll make sure I only pet the girls she is aggressive to away from her.
