Unusual color?

Yeah, I love these genetics threads too. I've got most of the books memorized, and am always looking for more tidbits of information. Rollyard's great at that!

And Ross, I don't have a regular dusky, but I do have some Welsh Harlequin hens (m^d/m^d, li^h/li^h, plus sooty according to Holderread). I would think that would be good, since my goal is to get harlequin runners eventually. My problem is I keep getting side-tracked by all of this genetics stuff.

Yes, this could be one way to go if you are wanting to develop Harlequin Runners; you should not see anything much colour-wise in the initial youngsters bred (although you never know), but interbreeding these siblings & with some numbers bred, you may be pleasantly surprised.

One of the most enjoyable things I have found about developing my own variety is watching the changes/improvements made each season, & what you learn as you go.
