Hey all!
So have have two meat birds that are a bit different. Fist off I have a 8 week old red ranger roo that is lacking feathers. He is so behind on his feathering than the others he looks like he as already been plucked. The pic here is about 2 weeks ago. Since then his back feathers have started coming in but barely.

The other oddity is one of my cornishX. She has green legs, as well as some orange feathering around the neck. I have raised about 50 CornishX and have never seen this. I know they are a mix of the white rock and cornish breed but neither have green legs. She is also a bit smaller than the others but still a good size.(can get a pic of her tomorrow)

Has anyone else experienced this with any of their birds?

Doesn't look much like a Cornish X to me other than having thick legs. I know for the Red Ranger I have had one or two that have just taken forever it seems to get any feathers. Biggest issue with this is keeping everyone else from pecking at them because they look different.

I have never seen such late feathering. Here is the cornishX pullet with the orange feathering and greenish legs. The color feathers are just around the neck. She is a little different than the others. A bit smaller and more personable. View attachment 1755015

This year I had two cornish cross hens who had black leakage and blue slate legs. They must be messing up the genetics in the breeder flocks or something, that hen is pretty far off from what it should be, still very cool looking, I have a hard time killing the special ones :hmm
