Unusual mating behavior?

My drake tried mating with one of the hens today while I was filling the pool, nothing weird thee, however when her vent opened up..or whatever it does, the 2 Rouens came running over and started attacking it, plucking at it fiercely with their bills, it was pretty alarming. I put the hose to them and ended it but I was pretty rattled, looked terrible, like they were going to pull intestines out. She seem ok, but I’ve never seen it before.

How old are these drakes? What are you feeding? I might remove those drakes for now. That definitely could take a bad turn. I've never seen ducks do this, chickens will peck each other's vents if they are experiencing a protein deficiency, so that's why I ask about your feed.

Sorry I misunderstood. I've not seen that type of behaviors in ducks before. I do keep muscovy. Mallard based breeds do seem move vigorous than my muscovy. Hopefully someone else can help out. That would bother me too.

@Isaac 0 , @casportpony , have you heard of this?
