Yes a vet is a possibility, if I need to contact a vet for medications for him. But I was curious as to if there were any other optionsSounds like an ear infection. Is a vet a possibility?

I can get some pics tomorrow when it’s daylight, he is crested and he’s an AmeraucanaWelcome To BYC
You mention his ear seems to be giving him trouble, can you please get some photos of his face, eyes, inside the beak and of his ear?
Hard to tell what's going on. Is he crested - what breed is he?
I am unsure if he was vaccinated, I got him from Tractor Supply. I haven’t administered any vaccines to himWas he vaccinated for Mareks as a chick? Can you look inside his beak for any yellow material and get any pictures of the the wet area under his beak? I would try some human vitamins E 400 IU and 1/4 tablet daily of B complex. Give a small amount of egg daily for selenium.
Idk I'm a newbie but it kind of sounds like a bacterial infection, or possibly Marek's disease. I think a veterinarian is your best bet.I am unsure if he was vaccinated, I got him from Tractor Supply. I haven’t administered any vaccines to him

apologies for the late reply, the rooster has a broken neck and the drainage from the ears is most likely due to constant lowering of the head. Other than that he is fine, but we are still debating on what we should do as I believe he is no longer fertilizing eggsHow is this rooster doing? Did you get him to the vet? What did you find out?
my apologies, I said crested but I was referring to his comb, I have since learned the proper terminology. We have found out that his neck is broken and that is most likely the cause of the drainage due to his lowered head position. But I believe he has stopped fertilizing our eggsWere you able to get some photos?
