We're in North Texas, and even if it gets cold it rarely lasts more than a few days. Our first hen to get broody happened a couple weeks ago, so we got her fertilized eggs to hatch.
Now it's been under freezing for several days and expected for another week. She's at day 10 sitting on the eggs. We have a heat lamp set up, and the water in the hen house doesn't freeze, but I'm still worried.
Anything we should do or not do?
