Hi all,
My daughter went to collect eggs this morning and she brought in a really small egg. Our hens will be a year at the end of next month. Is this normal? I attached a picture to compare it to a normal size egg they usually lay.

Eggs like that are common when a hen starts up laying after a break.

Ok, I was actually getting eggs over winter, which surprised me because my friends with chickens said there hens stopped laying.
Do you think they were all laying eggs or did one of them stop for a bit? Usually even pullets that lay over the winter will lay less eggs or stop for a week as an individual

Still, the small egg is very normal

There's a good chance that they were not all laying because there was a decrease in eggs. I'm glad it normal!
