**UPDATE 1 out of 24 hatched!!**My eggs came! 8 days in shipping

yep! It is frustrating! So are you going to try to hatch some of them or do you think they are all gone?? I wonder if you could candle them and see if there are cracks or anything you can't see and maybe you could see if there is an aircell at all??

I candled a few and diddnt seee any aircell but I will put in any that arent seeping and see what happens.

there is no real way of knowing if the air sacks are shakened or not.

o, i am so mad.

you can try to hatch them and see if you get any with a little luck you might get one or two. cause all eight should be fertile.

do you want me to send you more eggs?

I think you should take the box to the PO and try to get a refund of the shipping price at least!

I am putting them in tonight. You dont need to send me more, its not your fault. Unless you want me to send you more, too.... since mine were broken up too.

DH might have a thing or two to say about doing anymore egg trading at all... He doesnt trust the PO to get them here next time either. And I agree...

I will still do egg trading cause it will be fun(or suppose to be) to see yours hatch and my flock grows without spending two dollars per chick.

and not all shipments go a rye.

I think we will do it again. He is just not happy at the Postal Service, like all of us! But I would like to do it again. I will have purebred eggs this time, so maybe I will do the Crazy Egg Chain...

WOW! That is the worst mess I've ever seen! We have a really small PO here too. Heck they close between 12:30-1:30 or if only one employee shows up!! hahaha But my eggs marked "fragile, furture baby chicks" where delivered to my door (it's almost a mile off the road, first time for this) in a USPS plastic carton stuffed with newspaper & box cradled in the middle! Wouldn't get that in the city we left thats for sure.

I'm sorry about your eggs. I would certainly make a complaint to someone!! It looks like it was done on purpose.
