**Update 3/2/11**Last sad update - Help help help quickly

Oh, then you shouldn't have any problems with them at all! I've ordered from Metzers twice - first time in 2003 and then again in 2010. Both times they were shipped on a Monday and I got them early, early Wednesday morning. That's all the way across the country!!!

I also ordered from Holderreads in 2009. I would order from both places again and again...

What breeds are you getting?

I've got 2 Golden 300, 1 Welsh Harlequin, 2 Cayuga, 1 chocolate runner and a pair of Australian spotteds!​

Can Metzers include an extra heat pack for their journey this time?

I spoke with Metzers about this, as well. I was willing to wait, but they said that it should be fine to send them out on Monday.

I think the holiday messed things up. Wasn't thinking about that when I ordered them.

Just wanted to let you all know that I received my new ducklings in the mail this morning at 3:00am, well part of them. I was quite shocked to open the box and find only two. There should have been three. Metzers is taking care of that and will be sending out our drake, with a duckling of their choice, on Monday. He can't travel alone so they are sending a buddy with him. I am curious to see what kind of duckling he/she will be.

Anyway, this has been quite a ride for me. I really thought I messed up last week when all my ducklings died. However, seeing how these two girls are thriving, I realize it wasn't me. It was just a horrible accident in delayed shipping that claimed the others. In the future I will pay attention to dates, and make sure that I never order ducklings to be shipped out on a holiday.

We have named the girls, Peanut and Cookie. As soon as I put them in the brooder I knew they were going to be fine. What a relief!!!

I am praying that the other two will arrive safely like the girls did. I will post pictures, and keep everyone posted. Plus, you can help me identify the unknown duckling when he comes in

edited to say: This is not their brooder box. I was cleaning it out, and put them in this tub. Just in case you were all wondering.

Glad the girls arrived without incident. Hopefully your boy will arrive fine too. You may want to check with them and see if you can arrange for his buddy to be a girl if you plan on keeping them so you don't have 2 girls and 2 boys.
