Ok, i have a two day old batam and it is breathing hard, cold, wheezing, and trouble standing. Help, hopefully it won't die, i just got it!!

Ok, the little chick pasted away, but now i have a new problem, one of my ameracana's eye is closed all the time and watery. The fur around it is wet and not fluffy like it's other eye or it's sibling's eye. Does anyone know what it may be?

it's under a heat lamp now, but before it wasn"t the heat lamp was getting to hot and set the wood on fire. but now it's fix differentially. the temp now is about 93. i don't know the humidity level...we're in nc in the mountains so there's no humidity right now. non medicated starter feed for chicks. But thinking about getting medicated for them.

sadly it pasted away....second chick I've lost, the first a RIR drowned and i guess this one died of sudden chicken death syndrome or something. The others seem fine. I got him and three others at tractor supply company, and some black sex links, easter egger's, a Peking duck, and a Russian blue at a farmer co-op here. the co-op ones had been debeaked and given vaccines. hopefully i don't lose anymore.

I am sorry for your loss.

I had three silkie chicks that I hatched out do the same thing. They were fine at first but then starting breathing heavy and were gone the next day. The other chicks in the brooder with them were fine. Sometimes I guess they just weren't meant to make it.
