Update-Barnyard mix

This is the strangest looking chicken I’ve ever seen. Not sure what the mix is, looks like an explosion of different kinds, so we’ve now named it Chernobyl! 10 weeks old, guessing rooster because of bright red comb? Any guesses on breeds/gender?

Sad to report he passed away last night. No idea why. He was acting weird yesterday, Being a loner, no signs of injuries, just not as active. Really sad we won’t see how he turned out.

I heard that hybrid chickens only live for 2 years. Pretty strange.

He looks like his eye was cloudy. He may have been ill or had been ill. Watch the rest of your flock for any signs of illness.

That was just a bad picture, his eyes were totally clear, he just started standing off to the side by himself yesterday, and wasn’t as lively. Just so odd.
