I'm so glad he was able to diagnose her issue. I'm sure your kids would have been heart broken if anything happened to her. I don't ever see a reason why she wont live many happy years in your care.

I appreciate all f the encouragement and support.

She has been resting peacefully all day. I just had the dreaded evening dose of medication, that happens to involve a very long tube down her throat. She didn't struggle much, we will see what happens in the morning. Only time will tell if she will get better. It's just the first day, but I hope she starts to improve. With the heat outside today, it's just as well she's inside. I don't think she will want to go back out once she's better.

She's such a pretty thing. We need to introduce her to my Ollie. He's so handsome and sweet. His comb has a little kink in it at the very front, gives him a devilish look.
So...think Chicken Little would be interested in a much younger man?

gritsar- could he handle an older woman. LOL!! She would look so cute in a couple.

She appears to be doing ok. She didn't fight taking her medicine again. I have her in the parlor with my (where I work) she seems calm and relaxed. She's still not interested in eating. She is responsive to attention so that is good.

mmaddie's mom- We live in a 143 year old house(the local haunted house), We have tried to call it something else, but it just doesn't fit. It's a "parlor"... I don't know what else to call it either. I'm sure the original owners are rolling in their graves at the thought of a chicken in the best room of the house,

Chicken Little seems to be doing better. She's not pooping as much or straining to try to, but she still stinks. No blood anymore. She has been eating a little more. Tonight is her 4th dose of medication so I hope she continues to improve. Thanks so much to everyone.

Our house was built in 1860 by David Kemp (Colonial Georgian)... they all had "parlors" in those days.

Glad to hear that Chicken Little is doing better... will continue to pray for her full recovery!
