Update chicken not walking

If she is suffering it would be best to let her go. I am so sorry. It's hard. I've had to let my favorite girl go due to a leg injury. Just know you aren't alone. A vet was able to take care of it for me, but that's not an option for a lot of people. It's good your husband will do it for you. Say goodbye, you gave her a good life, and did more for her than most. You've done all you can, and I garantee she thanks you for it. You aren't alone. If you are grieving don't be afraid to reach out for support. Many people will think it is stupid to need support for a chicken, but if she is your pet, it's like loosing a dog. If it will make you feel better you could bury her. Just remember, you aren't alone :hugs

12 gauge can do the same
personally...i wouldn’t want to put down one of my pets myself. i have 24 in my flock but only one of them is a pet...ironically, the rooster. one of the pullets ate an egg the other day. they’re all the same breed and look the same...just ordered leg bands so that i can identify them. if the one pullet continues to eat eggs or teach others, i will have to make changes.

Only if you're ok with blowing the bird to bits. Some people, like me, prefer to have no blood. That's why I chose this method. I have plenty of guns but blowing my pet away with any one of them is not my cup of tea.
dude, i am sorry. that statement was a joke. read the previous. i can harvest an animal...no prob...but when it’s your pet...that’s a different story. my rooster right now will live to old age and i would pay a $200 vet bill on a $3 bird. he’s my buddy and i don’t have chickens to make a living.
