I now have 2 chicks from 1st hatch!!!! what sex are they? Why isn't there a big differece in the color?

What brand of feed are you using?

Buckeye Nutrition and Kent Feed
The Layer/ Breeder is put out by Buckeye Nutrition and the Starter feed that I use is Kent High Flyer 28

I also use a Pigeon Grain as a "Scratch Grain", it is put out by a local Co. by the name Martig Farm.
It has a mixture of 10 grains and is 13% protein, to that I add Black Oil Sunflower Seed (BOSS), Whole Hemp Seed, Linseed (Flax) and Paddy Rice.
This is the ingredient list of the pigeon grain.
Wheat, Milo, Maple Peas, Trapper Peas, Austrian Peas, Buckwheat, Corn, White Millet, Oat Groats, Malt Barley, Safflower.

How long did you keep the RIR rooster with the WPR hens before youo started keep the eggs?
Were the hens with something else before the RIR rooster was put to them?

I have RIR roo with Delaware hens eggs in the incubator they aren't due to hatch until June 23rd. We will see.
