Update got some--Wanted: Young chickens in the Portland, OR area

I have a coop and I'm ready to start the egg-laying, bug-eating, weed-munching, garden-fertillizing fun!

I'm in Troutdale and would like 3-4 good, young laying hens. I don't have a brooder, so they must be old enough to stay out in the coop.

I can't wait to begin!

Anyone selling in my area?

If there is any way to mail chickens, I would be happy to mail you a few. Ours are 1/2 White Leghorns, 1/2 Americanas. They do lay colored eggs and there is one pure bred banty White leghorn hen who, of course, just lays plain white eggs. Write back if you are interested.

I have 3 Black Sexlinks that are about 16 weeks (March hatches), just about ready to lay. They are very nice looking with the Green Sheen in the sun. They should start laying anytime now.

Thanks for the offers. I got 3 Red Star Layers today. I found them on Craigslst.

Now the fun will begin.
