ahh yes you gotta love the mess made in the bator.

I usually spend the first day thinking there is something really wrong with them the way they fling themselves all over the bator & then drop. For some reason there's this rush of panic. They always seem to be just fine though.

Hi Sue- I think you meant to post a new topic- but anyway:
Your egg might be bad. Is it stinky? Have you candled? You might have to toss that one before it explodes on you.

No I havent yet , I hadnt seen anyone reply that I should , and scince its just one toe I didnt know If I was sapose to , they both seem to be doing ok . I go in and check on them every few hours . The third egg Im not holding my breath on , he still peeps sometimes but with him being pipped on the small end of a small egg with brown discoloration and adibul breathing not to mention being at the end of day 23 the odds arnt good, I will of course give him all the time he needs and watch him closely .

You have to love 4 year olds

, My son got up and looked in the bator like he always does , I didnt think much of it I was getting dressed in my room , I hear a little scream and next thing I know he is in my room shoveing an egg at me

he was upset cuase the baby had his foot out the top of his shell while his little beak was still down at the narrow end where he pipped yesterday.

, How he managed to pop his foot thru I have no idea , but his membrane seemed rather dry and I doubted his ability to zipp with a sticky foot out the top of the egg so I helped him out , he has a rough navel and seems week I wrapped him up and put him in the brooder to rest there was a couple specks of blood. Poor baby
