You also could learn to tube feed him if needed. I would keep trying to get him eating on his own, but it is easy to tube feed once you learn. In the link above about giving oral medications, the syringe is going down the right back of the bird’s throat into the esophagus. That is also where a feeding tube goes. Thank you for this! I was wondering if I'd need info on that! He's doing way better but I'm still watching. He broke out off the porch and has been out with his girls (and 2 ducks) for about 1.5-2 hrs. Been scratching and walking. Finished his food and drank a whole bowl of water. But his comb is still dark 😞 idk what that means.
