*Update in OP* My Chick's neck folds backwards (Video)

IMHO I think 3 drops of Poly Vi Sol is too much for a little chick. I give 2 or 3 drops to my full grown hens if they get sick. Just a thought.

I wondered about that. I also wondered if the small amount of B1 in the PVS (.5 mg in a full dropper) was worth it when I could buy B1 and crush it and sprinkle it into the food. It stinks trying to figure out what to do.

I wouldn't worry overly much about an over dose. I had a conversation with our vet about vitamins. Thiamine is a water soluble and, as such, is excreted in the urine or urates in the case of a chicken. The body can only use so much at a time and will get rid of what it does not need. Over time, large amounts of Thiamine can cause problems but, with what you are doing with your chick, I don't think you should have any concerns. I hope he / she gets better !

...I also have a hen with a crooked neck...she originally started as my "special needs" hen...but after some time, she has become one of my regular layers...and holds her own in the "pecking" order of my chicken yard...dont give up on your special needs chick...
