*UPDATE* Neighbor's chickens freezing

You're doing a great job trying to save him. I'll be watching this thread and praying for his survival.

You are so sweet to try and save this guy. How lucky he is to have planted himself down in your yard and not someone less caring. Good luck!

This post made my eyes well up! I can see why all the 'rejects' come to you for help- they know where to go to find that unconditional love! I wish I knew more people who were like you.
You and your family and that grumpy rooster boy have all our best prayers and thoughts coming your way! Kudos to you and thank you for taking in and loving and caring for this rooster!
If he can pull through you're going to have one very lovable and grateful rooster on your hands!

I hope your guy makes it. It sounds like he won't give up and neither will you. I have also had the "un-adoptable" pets. They are the most beautiful creatures and teach us amazing lessons.

I, too, am praying for this guy! Any updates? How is he doing? I know it will take some time for him to come back.

I am mostly curious if mean roosters can come around. Sometimes I think they can be taught to be "civil". I have had some mean roosters here, but never any really mean, like I have heard about. I have had a couple really mean sebrite roosters... they come pecking at my feet, it is kind of funny really... But I will catch them to show them I mean business and then just hold them and love on them for awhile. They never really get used to the "loving" but they do stop pecking at my feet. LOL

Just curious how this works for others and praying for your rooster.

So glad you found it worth your time to rescue him. He is a lucky guy
