Hi y’all! It’s been a couple months since I last asked for a sexing for my silkie... and I have updated pictures for them(but somethings telling me it’s a She)
But now I have a curious question on whether or not this ISA Brown pullet is a cockerel?
I’ve been debating on her gender ever since we got her! As a baby, she had very short feathers similar to how male chicks grow them.
And now she’s developing a peculiarly long tail feather, with some colorful neck feathers; although her wattles aren't the most developed of the rest of them.
Thanks so much!

What are their ages?
Silkies are difficult, could we get a picture of it's comb? I want to say pullet but the wattles and head feathering making me question. The ISA looking pullet but alot depends on their ages.

EDITD: Ok read that they're 4mo ... ISA pullet, need a picture of the Silkies comb

Your silkie looks exactly like one of mine except mine has larger wattles. She is my best layer and the boss of the flock :D. Hang in there for another month but I think it may be a she. I would guess pullet for the other one

hopefully these are close enough!

Your silkie looks to be a cockerel and your Isa looks to be a Pullet. That being said those are some awfully pointy hackles on that bird. Contrary to that though the saddle looks as female as possible and the wattle/comb/color all seem consistent with a Pullet.
I guess we’ll find out what it is for sure when Bowie the silkie fully matures next month :D I wonder if silkies make good roosters...?

Since that silkie is single combed, its obviously got something else mixed in there. Comb and waddle growth could scale in a manner similar to your browns and it's obviously breaking up the crest development, so it's going to be a tough call. I think you'll have to wait till crow or egg for that one unless you start getting some more obvious signs.
With the red, it still looks hen for now... one of my shaver hens had funny tail feathers - particularly, they were long and hooked. She grew out of them by the time she started laying, but she did have me worried too.
