Update on Blue Orp Charlie Boy now 8 months old

I have 2 of your pullets. They are so very dark they were often mistaken for black. Since they went through a light molt they are not as dark and clearly are very dark blue. They are heavy and fluffy. Pretty girls.

I hatched a cockerel from Julie's eggs that was the same way. You really had to look at him to realize he was very dark blue instead of black. He lives with Bammony now.

Well, you two need to get some updated photos and close ups and show them to me. I very interested.

Just gorgeous! Have to second that thought on his wonderful lacing.

Julie, mine from your flock are about 4 months old now. I have 1 blue boy who I think is gorgeous. And, boy, are they all huge!! I need to get some more pics on here.

Buster, how old are yours?

Paula:)

Buster, these last blue Orp and black pullets that I had didn't lay until 8 months but the eggs are large. They didn't start laying the traditional pullet eggs. I have been amazed. If they increase in size they will be huge by summer.

That's just how this Black hen that I have laying did. She waited until she was 8 months old and started laying large eggs. I found out today that she and my splash Orpington rooster are out of Jimmy Cox's lines.
