Update on mixed nest

Last Sunday I posted Thai had put 2 pekin eggs under a muscovy and I hatched onday 28. Well today one week latter 12 Muscovies have hatched, such a sweet thing to watch and the older pekin helped his mama hatch everyone of them. So all has ended well the pekin thinks he's a muscovy and the muscovys do too. Sweet!

Here is a pic of the 12 muscovys she hatched on Sunday and the one pekin she hatched a week ago, we call the pekin Big Bird! He fusses over the new babies as much as his mom. I do wonder about the day that he asks "mommy, why do I look so different from everyone else?" : )

So, if this pekin was hatched under a muscovy, raised by a muscovy and grows up with muscovy ducklings....will he always stick with the muscovys or eventually join the Pekins?
