So my girls are now a little over 7 months old, and they've filled out quite nicely as far as feathering and personality goes. They lay me 3-5 eggs a day, 5 being common and 3 being rare. I haven't gotton under 3 eggs for 1 1/2 months now! Meko and Hawk, my EEs, both lay greenish/blue eggs with Hawk's being more green. As far as loudness goes, they have their moments were I want to tape their beaks shut but I'm happy they don't do eggs songs everytime the lay. From the otherside of my yard, where I have a neighbor, they aren't loud at all. But are very noticeable. So far no one in the city council has driven past my house during 12 PM, so I'm glad about that. All are still friendly. When I sit in a chair they'll fight for a good spot on my lap for a head scratch. They certainly aren't as smart as say, my duck, but they are filled with curiousity and their antics make me laugh all the time. Enjoy the pics!

Love your birds. why do you call them city chickens?

i have 7 game hens that roost in the trees and are pretty much wild, i call them my red neck hens; and the girls that are in the coop and are all prissy are called my city hens or princess hens.

I'm in love with Meko and Hawk.

Easter Eggers are the coolest chickens around! Unfortunately, my girl disappointed me when she laid her first egg -- it was light brown. D:< They're still awfully cute with those beards of theirs, though.

All of your other chicks are lovely as well. I love having suburban chickens too!
