i forget if i've mentioned, i probably have, but out of the initial 8 eggs- 5 turned out to be fertile. and as far as i'm concerned, all are doing great!
today is day 20! from what i've heard, today they should've internally pipped, though i haven't checked. i might do that in a few minutes, but probably not- i don't wanna risk anything.
i was, however, a day late with lockdown. i have an app that tells me what day the eggs are on, but unfortunately i think i misread something. on day 19, it said to stop turning. so, day 18, i was turning all day- with normal humidity- until i realized my mistake and very quickly raised the incubator up to the proper humidity. i doubt that just an additional regular day would harm them, so i'm not terribly worried. i'm just going to hope the worst that could happen is maybe they'll just hatch a little late- which i'm fine with! i probably deserve it for forgetting such important information-
regardless, i'm really hoping to see some pipped babies tomorrow when i wake up, but i'm going to try not to get my hopes up- i know they like to take their sweet time, and especially with that mistake.
anyway, i'll be sure to post some pictures whenever they hatch! i have no questions today- but thank you to everyone who has helped so far in the last couple of weeks! i'm very happy to know i have somewhere to look to for help.
