Update on my keets color

It now has some cinnamon colored feathers and some Gray feathers with full Is pearling and a purple shine in sunlight on its chest feathers

It was a local farmer who had rp and coral blue guinea fowl.

Hmmm. Now the juvenile looks a bit like a buff dundotte or cinnamon, but those are fully pearled. Your baby pics show wavy head lines though so it’s semi-pearled. That makes sense since both parents’ colors are semipearled too. Blonde or buff? I think that buff is more common than blonde. Very cool bird!

To me, "she" (?) looks like my Bella. Male was BD, hen was either of lavender of PG. - Odds on lav since PG generally = PG (GENerally...). Most saw her as BD, but @R2elk said brown. It took me awhile to understand his reasoning, until I looked at it like a dog qualification- ie a blue merle is irregular patches of black, white, and tan patches within light blue/gray coat. But if there's rust/red in the coat, that's a disqualifying flaw.
So the stray browns Bella had don't fit in the Buff/BD , making her go into the Brown category- which ironically was what I had wanted to begin w/, bc @R2elk has one that's gorgeous. There are no guinea show regulations, so unlike dogs, it's not a flaw. I *assume* it's one of those nondominant genes working it's way to the surface? As you can see in pics, she changed frequently, so kept us guessing until grown.
As for cinnamon, I could be behind the times. The last time I remember discussing it here, it was a variety in Oz, but not here. However, I've seen a lot of varieties lately that I'd not heard of before. Here's an old thread on them, it's not clear to me if they're saying cinnamon must have red eyes or not, but I do see rust in them.

Bella always hung w/my lavender male. I ended up losing both of them, so her eggs were precious and I incubated them. Lol..all jumbo pgs..dominance over looks, I guess. But the only way I can tell the diff between her offspring and my other jumbo male since they removed their leg bands is that hers has random brown flight feathers.

Interesting that Bella’s babies have random brown feathers! In “cinnamon”, I’m using Jessica Farmer’s guide terms for the color, where Cinnamon is the fully pearled version of Blonde. Yes, same term used for different colors in Oz vs US! I’ve seen very little about US Cinnamon guineas and they aren’t offered by Guinea Farm so I think they must be quite rare. GF does offer Blonde, Buff, and Buff Dundotte. If you search the Guineafowl VGS FB group there are some posts about American Cinnamon.

In your Bella baby pic above, you can see that she was fully pearled. But @NikkiRenee ’s baby pic shows a semipearled keet.
