Well our ducklings are doing great, it has been only three days and they have improved so much. My hubby and I were concerned about them when they first came to our house but now they seem like healthy little duckies.
The big duckling hasn't spit up anymore and the little duck hasn't had any problems after swimming like we were told. They are very active and don't sleep all day like the first day we got them. They know how to use the ramp to go up to the roosting boxes where they sleep and there food is at. Can't keep the food down because the lizards like it.
They go up and sleep in the boxes every night so that is good. Plus yesterday they went through there first rain storm. I was worried they would get cold but I went out and checked on them and they were fine and content. They are warming up to people little by little. When they first came they were terrified when you put your hand next to them. By the end of yesterday I had jumped in there run area three times to make sure they could get out of there little pool by putting flagstone pieces down. The third time they didn't scatter and I could pet them.
Well they are doing great so far and I am so glad we got to take care of them! I am going to be VERY sad when they have to leave.
