Update on our new coop and flock

[Lyons chickens]

This is our solution to the babies getting harassed by our juvenile roo. We took a dog kennel and put it in the chicken house. Now they can socialize with the pullets and be safe until they get used to each other.

What used to be a garden shed is now our two story, 8x12 hen hotel.

You can fashion a chick door in that crate so the chicks can wander with the biggers and still have a safe haven.



Soon after this pic, I removed crate door and dropped fences section down lower,
bending up a corner for chick egress.
