OMGosh...Im so sorry I didnt get a chance to write back on my own thread, lol, I have been so busy these last couple of days that I havent even been able to think about the internet, lol. I only did the float test on my eggs that didnt hatch, like 5 days after my other ones got down hatching. I also candled them, first, before I did the float test. I didnt want to throw them away if God forgbid there was a chick still alive! WOW, possibly 43 quails! I have only hatched chickens so far but maybe in the future, I will try another type of bird...that would be cool! Im excited to find out what happens are your end with the quails and seeing pics!
BrownSheep....Thats the way I was with my first batch of eggs, I had no clue how to even candle them properly and didnt even know what I was looking for, but as soon as I figured it out, I wanted to candle them all the time, lolololol...but I was able to resist temptation, lol. I did however have 2 that I thought I saw something moving in them but when my children and I did eggtopsies on them, they were completely NOTHING! All yolk and egg whites, nothing else, lol. I was hard to see through some of them because they were brown, some darker than others. But, I learned alot during my first hatch! Now, EEs are easter eggers, right? I want some of those chickens so bad! I am excited to see what I get out of this hatch, being that they are from a farm with many different types of chickens!
