Good deal! Glad you talked to the landlord! And maybe you're right..maybe he will somehow let you show the house and 'get to know' the new people to move in via an interview while showing the house or something? Maybe you can volunteer or something like that to show it a few times and then can help pick through them that way? He might just go for it!

I used to manage apts(low Income) and i soon learned not to call the reference where they were living at the time they applied for an apt. You call 2or 3 before current, because if they are bad tenants, the current landlord will give them a good recommendation just to get rid of them.Hard to find good neighbors now days, most are involved with drugs or have a it's not my house so why should I care how it looks. Good luck on your new neighbors, do you have any friends that need a place to live?

I'm glad to hear they are leaving! I feel so sorry for those kids, but at the same time, I'm glad you will get a chance at better neighbors.
I've had bad neighbors before, and I'll tell you what- Watching the back of that U-Haul go down the road is a great feeling!!!

Glad you're getting those losers out! I'd be very careful about them retaliating though. Some people don't take things like eviction so well.
When I was a kid we used to have duplex neighbors that always sent their kid bumming to us. After we gave them sugar packets insead of sugar and creamer in the little cups and ketchup in restaurant packs they left us alone. My mom would always make me answer the door and deal with the kid tho bc she didn't want to. Glad you had the chichis to tell them where to go!
