As some of you know I made a sunroom off my chicken house. I suggest reading about the thread here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/the-sun-room.1338753/
I just wanted to update you guess knowing there were few things we were wondering about.

Some concerns were it would get very hot. So far it has not! And is very comfy! Another way too much snow dropping and making a lot of humidity. So have been shoveling it off fast and If anything its been insulating it.

You can see I opened up the window so the can jump onto the roost and then into the room. We recently had a blizzard and even in the middle of all this, they were happily dustbathing! and hanging out. One flaw no sun on the days. But it is usually still pretty nice.

Better just to update that other thread ;)

You might want to report this post and ask a mod to move it to your other thread.
Yes, you could click the report icon on your first post here and ask to have it merged with the other thread.

I think this is a great idea. I have something a little similar. When I extended my run I used 1 roof panel that was corrugated steel and the 2nd panel was the UVA clear corrugated plastic to allow for the sun to shine through it. I've wrapped the run in heavy clear shower curtains and left plenty of ventilation and their water rarely freezes. We just got hit with a 25 inch snowfall but the run is pretty much dry. The sunroom is a great idea in our harsh winters.
