Update on...White Orpingtons

I have had white cochins that are yellow for quite a while, even as feathers come in they still look yellow. But as more come in, they turn to white. Nice chicks homegroan-a rare treat to see some white orps tat look like true white orps!

The chicks are now 4 weeks old and I'm starting to see more of what they will
be (I think, but I am still really new at this higher quality stuff) when they are
older.

If my memory serves me correct yellow legs is NOT a quality that is wanted in
exhibition stock (please correct me if I’m wrong) and these sure do look like
they now have yellow legs… Should I want to put the time in to correct the leg
color, What would I use?

Size of these chicks, when hatched, were average. Feathering was normal to fast.
Eye color seems to be black.

Any input would be helpful…

I love my white orps! I have two pullets. They have white legs. I wish I knew where they came from because I got them from a friend who hatched them and doesn't remember where she ordered them from. I will have to grill her on it again when I go to get some more birds from her soon. They don't appreciate the advances of my 6 month old black orp cockerel. They are 23 weeks old (oh my! They should be laying very soon!) and he is about a month older than them and MUCH bigger (yesterday he weighed 8 pounds and he's getting bigger every day). He catches them and stands on them while they scream.

Leg color should be pinkish white and eyes should be reddish bay.

Buster, I'd love to see pics of your girls. They sound great. I was responding to Homegrown, but we must have posted at the same time. lol Do you plan to breed your white pullets to the black cockerel?
