update pics any help

Hi I posted some pics at 8 weeks of my two chicks that I got off ebay.
Now at 12 weeks they have started to show some signs of razing neck feathers still unsure of breed and sex the darker bird came from a blue egg

I *think* that they are both pullets based on the apparent lack of saddle / hackle feathers, although the comb on the first would make me nervous. They look to be legbar crosses, but possibly not first gen, so basically ee's

X2. I agree, they do look like they have some Legbar in there. That would be my first guess.

Maybe mixed with Tolbunt bc of the little tufts of "hair"?

Which came from the blue egg? the black one? If its the goldis one, id say that one is a cream crested legbar. Otherwise they look to both be olive eggers with this breed as the blue egg cross.

Tolbunt is not a breed. It is a variety of polish. And they have much larger crests, even in a cross. The crest is from the ccl blood.

I bet they are an olive egg laying cross. The grey colored one has pink legs and a crest so my guess would be that it has some Marans and Cream Legbar in it's genetics. The brown one has the crest also so it probably is part Cream Legbar and I'm not sure what else it is. If they are indeed olive eggers maybe it is part Welsummer. The first one is definitely a cockerel because of the large comb and the second doesn't look like a cockerel yet, but something about it makes me suspicious.

You bought they from ebay--what were they advertised as?

I agree they look like olive eggers. At 12 weeks---I'm thinking the dark bird is a pullet, not sure on the lighter bird. Can we get a profile shot of the lighter bird at it's level? It's hard to judge comb size and coloring from these pictures. A comb shot of the darker bird would help also.
