UPDATE!! POSSIBLE PARASITE! HELP!! Sick/stressed/wobbly pullet.

Sevins dust is what I always see recommend on here. With great results.
I'm sure the hen will feel much better getting rid of those dang nasty bugs. Good luck

The feed store only had sevin and permethrin, so that's what I got. Well see if it helps!! Do I need to change out all the bedding after dusting? Or shovel it out then dust, then add fresh? I don't have any right now, I'll have to get some in a fewe days...

Just now found an egg on the floor of the coop - probably from the sick chick, since I bet she can't jump into the nest box. All the other eggs have been in the boxes so far.

I got sickie well dusted, but I could only catch a few others. I put a lot of the dust into their dusting hole, and around the inside walls of the coop and on the perches. Hopefully that does the trick!!

I would shovel it out dust and put a little in the new bedding. Can you catch the chickens at night and dust, if you don't get them all you could end up battling it again.

I actually could not catch them all, even at night. When I come in with a light, all I have to do is open the door and they start getting down off the perches and going to the corners.

I also don't have any fresh bedding right now, so I'm stuck leaving the old stuff in.

This chicken came this way off the truck, and I checked the few I caught and there is no sign of infestation. Of course, I know that bugs like this spread easily, so I'm hoping that adding powder to their dust hole will effectively dust them all for me. Plus the sick chick did get a very good coating - i only caught the poor thing because she cant run very well... I'll be sure to keep the bug powders fresh in the dust hole every day or 2 for a while.

If I can get a hold of new bedding, I'll change it all out.

Her comb and waddle brightened a bit, but she still walks funny and limps. She also is not laying eggs, as far as I know. I cleared up her parasites with simple sevin dust, and no other birds got infested. Still no idea what's wrong with her, but except for no eggs/limping she seems healthy enough.
