Have been monitoring ShyGirl, light Brahma, 2 yo this March? From tsc as chick.

Lost AngryGirl couple weeks ago, her sisters Bianca and PhotoBomber have been red and laying.

ShyGirl has been moving around, yet likes to stay in corner. Have been giving her calcium+vidD. Was in nest last night, no egg.

Looking little yellowish this morning, empty crop, have her inside with HeadHen(who hasn't improved-- separate issues/thread).

Popped a calcium+vitD and milk thistle outside before bringing her in.

Made up an egg, bcomplex, vitE and Nutridrench mash, she ate some.

She's talking to us and cooing.

Did check on way in, couldn't feel an egg near vent, no buggies, everyone else is acting like chickens.

These two girls are/were our biggest, even their sisters aren't as big.

More a journal, gonna wait, watch and go from there.

Feed: chick feed from grain mill 20 % protein, same for almost year now. Hanging feeders that are checked daily 2-3x.

Water: in tubs right now bc of winter- one is a dog heated bowl one is a rubber bowl with heater inset

Oyster shell always out. Grit always out. Cut hay for near boxes. Pine and mulch(natural no dye local) for bedding. In coop(where they sleep) pine pellets.

Have article on coop.

Hubby suggested a UV bulb like we have for reptiles since it's been dreary here if it may help with calcium absorption like reptiles. We already have sockets outside, only out a trip to the store.

ShyGirl has always been a more pale girl when it's hot or what she's resting. Just keeping an eye on her.

Sounds like you are doing all the right things.

How does her lower abdomen look and feel? Is it bloated, squishy, soft or hard?
Compare it to the other two that are healthy and laying.

How much does she weigh? Compare to the weight of the other two.

When did she last lay an egg?

She has grey and white feathers lol

Looks and feel normal, even compared to other two.

Last egg? Honestly not certain as they are just now starting to lay again after hard molt and winter(started Oct/Nov) wasn't really worried until others started turning red last 2-3 weeks?

She does feel lighter than sisters.

(And in between writing all this was headed back outside and noticed a trail of blood in the house- had to figure out which other pet was bleeding, oye. Cat had a puncture on top of his foot. All good now ... Next! Lol)

ETA: did clean and check feet didn't notice anything unusual

They can lose quite a lot of body weight during moult.

When did you last deworm?

If it was more than 4-5 month ago, I would deworm her thoroughly.

Ouch! Poor cat! Wonder how this could have happened... 🤔

(this is BS, lol, it's been a stressful couple of weeks at our house)

took her back outside she was pecking at the nestbox and went in to lay down.

I've not shared bc I had to wait for Safeguard to arrive(yeah no one had it around us, go figure), and while doing so did water(electrolytes and nutri) by syringe and tried to get her food, but obviously not enough. Kept up with calcium and milk thistle with water syringe.

I got safeguard last night and gave her a dose while she was sleeping.

Thanks to the weather (freezing rain outlook) son's therapy was changed to virtual, so I am home with her and plan to give water every little bit for a while.

I ask enough of the kids to help out with the girls, so I understand their reluctance to administer medicine/water orally. Even with the helpful article.

Headlamp has been helpful. Not that we can find a "this amount every this many minutes" we are doing 1ml every 15 minutes for first hour then waiting

Yeah I know. Been doing what I can. This morning she looked livelier than yesterday. Got electrolyte water in her and Nutridrench, she did fight so that's a positive, but ...

3x aday Milk thistle-, not the calcium, that was only photo I had on phone as I'm now at work

ETA: that photo was just after I had gotten home, kids had brought in after finding her laying down, so they were trying.
