RIP: AngryGirl, light Brahma, odd behavior

Found it at Walmart but this is all they have. Gave her the milk thistle last night in mash, she ate some of it.

Checked on her this morning before leaving for work. Crop pretty much empty but it was still early compared to when she gets up and there were several poop piles. (Like I could actually feel is and squish it, yesterday when I brought her it in was difficult to find bc it was empty-empty)

Gave her the calcium and some water before we left. Then she laid back down.

Will check on her and see about the alpha tablet suggested. As she's in an enclosed run I'm not sure what she could have gotten into and the others not lol

Since liver disease is usually because of reproductive disorders, cancer, or fatty liver disease, I’m not sure that any medication would be curative, but if it not harmful, it should be okay to use. Molting is a very stressful time for a hen, and when illnesses may occur. When I have had hens who died from various illnesses, it was always hard to know the reasons for the illness, until I could open the abdomen and look at the organs with a necropsy. The yellow urates were common in the ones I lost. I have seen evidence of oviduct and other cancers, salpingitis, one case of fatty liver disease, and several with ascites/water belly. Keep us posted on how she is doing.

Got home and she was pretty lifeless, picked her up to try to get liquids in her and she went.

Son tried all day to get her to eat and drink and feels terrible, but I told him even if we'd have went to a vet it may not have helped.

Whatever it was, it was just her. And no. I don't want to do a necropsy on her. I get it's informative but I can't. Thank you all for help and hopefully this post can help someone else.
