I have a pair of Splash Orpingtons and was wondering on possible gender. I think I have a rooster and a pullet but not sure!

#1 (possible roo?)

Both Side by Side, She is on left and is much smaller for same hatch date. They came from a local breeder as well, not hatchery

At 7 weeks looks like they might both be pullets, my orpington roo's comb started getting redder at around 5 to 6 weeks old, by 8 weeks you should be almost 100% sure of its gender, unless he is a late bloomer.

You are right, I looked at the hatch date for my RIR and Barred Rocks when I posted that, not the orphs. Thank you!

I did not know about splash Orpingtons. Cool. My neighbor crosses Buff Orpingtons with a White Leghorn rooster and the offspring are the most beautiful things I have ever seen. They are buff colored but have white petticoats. His flock was huge but has recently become very small. I bet people are buying them - I think I'll ask him if I can buy some .... oops, I am maxed out right now with quite wonderful hens. 3 Barr Rocks, 2 Auracanas, 2 miniature black Orpingtons (mistake, I didn't realize there were mini Orpingtons), and one old beloved but crochety Red Cap (Big Fat).

Here are updated pictures, they are about 7.5, 8 weeks now (I did go back and make sure I had an accurate age now) and wanted to know what you all thought about roo vs pullet.
