Me, too. I have had up to six at a time, all rescues from feral moms. Down to four now, and I keep repeating that mantra... no more cats...no more cats...

But maybe instead of birthing kittens then hauling them to the shelter. It could be a good idea to think about trapping them and getting them spayed. Around here you can get coupons for $35. I just read you can get it for $10. Which would be well worth preventing more kittens. It would save you, and a lot of other people a lot of trouble. You seem like your doing the right thing and trying to find them homes. But there are ton of unwanted kittens out there. They are hard to find good homes for. Not wanting to offend or preach. But it is a wise and responsible thing to do.

Speaking as a person who has had 19 rescued cats in the past few years.

I did not plan any births here with kittens. They are not my cats and they have been here since I bought this place and last year no kittens and yes I want the boys gone. I do plan on trapping them and taking to the shelter because they are wild and I don't want them and not my responsibility. I am keeping josie and she is getting spayed. She is the only one out of the two mommas that is touchable and a good mouser.

I don't have any programs like that here that I know of and all the vets around here charge full price....and like I said I am doing that to Josie because we want to keep her.

The wild calico is caught and has been since the day they were born. I did fined a home for her and the second litter they want them all including momma to hunt on there property.

The shelter in my opinion is the best place for them because they adopt them out with the spaying/neutering already paid for and it is understood it has to be done. The wild ones are a pain in the rump anyways imo you can't touch them they eat your food and the males get the girls pregnant.
