(update the robin died before it hatched)

That is really neat ! I'll be sure to come back and check and see how things are going!!

An actual robin egg? It is highly illegal to remove them from a nest. It is also illegal to posess feathers, nests, eggs or egg shells, bodies, live birds, or anything else from a robin. They fall under the migratory bird act and it's a federal law. Not that I haven't done it but mine was from an abandoned nest after a storm and I did contact a wildlife rehabber but none had the ability to hatch an egg and it would not have survived transport that distance without heat. So I attempted to hatch it and nearly succeeded but it died right at the end.

i found it on the ground

its starting to hatch

actually the mother regurgitating food for babies is a myth, the mother brings back whole food for the babies,

if it hatches, wich I hope it does, you'll need to feed VERY small pieces of puppy food, and very small insects, do NOT feed worms for a few days, as it gets older you can feed bigger bites.

I've raised many baby birds, including robins, I've only had success ONCE with a newly hatched baby though, but it can be done
