We did keep the trap set in the kennel (bantam coop) but there's not much there to tempt one to return, the temptation seemed to be the Layena pellets. Have to admit I was really hoping no more would return but guess I should go re-bait it, just in case...
On another, related topic, as I went out to set up a flock block for the girls (the layers), I went to the front of the coop/shed and heard the weirdest noise from the run on the other side, where the flock block was...looked up and through the trees, 10 feet over my head cruised a lovely kestrel. Freaked the girls out, a good thing, but now I'm getting a tad paranoid--an aeriel attack. Although I don't think the kestrel could have taken one of the big girls, I think they usually go for the smaller prey, mice, small bunnies, small birds, etc, and all of mine are full grown large fowl. But, just in case, will be looking for some netting for the top of the run. Good grief.
