Update: Why does my australorp have feathered outside toe (not all)?

Hi all!

Well, we just figured out that our Australorp chick is a roo, now I am wondering why he has feathers on the outside of his feet.

Any ideas? Maybe he is not an Australorp?

I'm thinking "cochin", too. Australorps have clean feet.

I looked at some cochin sites, it looks like they have feathers on all toes. My mystery man has feathers on the outside toe. No feathers on the other 2 toes or on the legs.

Do you still think cochin with this info? Or maybe a mix?

Sounds to me like he may be a cross between the two. Cochin/Australorp
