*UPDATED* Building a new coop - New pics on Page 8

My guess is, you will take notice of the beauty of what you've created, out of an "old tear down shed", every day for some time to come. You've built a tribute to your Grand dad (and yourself) that will stand another 100 years. what a pretty thing!

This is to the eye, what fine cognac is to the nose. (your other senses will be rewarded at breakfast, everyday!) You are to be commended.

Thank you! I am very pleased with how it is turning out...it is looking like in envisioned it to look when I started the project.

I am really needing to get this thing done though because I have 25 chickens that are going to be needing to move in in about a week and a half! They won't be ready to be outside just yet, but they will be getting too big for the space they are in now.

I pretty much have the outside done now - minus some detail work and fascia boards. Today I finished up the East side (I decided to go ahead and keep the existing doors. I will be scraping the paint off and repainting them) I also installed one of the poop boards, put hardware cloth in the window (so it can be opened for ventilation), and painted the floor and poop board.

This is picture was taken facing the northwest (the south and east sides of the new coop)

One of my little helpers wanted her picture taken.

I decided to go with painting the floor rather than buy linoleum because of the cost. I think it will work out.

I did buy some clear sealer for the outside, so once I do in fact complete all the detail work, I will be sealing it.
