My husband is hard at work, all by himself, on the turkey pen. I had no idea how grand his plans were until I went out and saw this.

We are just hoping that they WILL roost in there, after all this work. I keep reading about turkeys that don't come back in at night after free-ranging. If that happens, my husband will likely lose his mind. He's already very reluctant to let them out at all, which is one reason for the size of this structure. We have 13 Narragansetts poults, almost 7 weeks old.

(Oh, and that photo was taken by my 5-year-old daughter. She loves to use the camera!)
